DEPARTMENT OF REFRIGERATION & AIR CONDITIONING TECHNOLOGY

The Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technology Department was introduced in early 1980s since than it is being produced qualitative skilled work force in the market. Air conditioning and refrigeration definitely belong in the most important engineering achievements of the 20th century. The comfort, ease, and happiness they bring to our everyday lives is immeasurable. Food preservation, medicine, and industry would not be what they are today without refrigeration.  Air conditioning brings a comfort and environmental flexibility that has impacted people more than they realize. Both technologies make the lives of others and myself far more comfortable and enjoyable.

DEPARTMENT OF CHEMICAL TECHNOLOGY

Chemical Technology mainly concerns with design, manufacture, operation, management and maintenance of an industrial plant or a laboratory involving chemical and biochemical processes. It is a multidisciplinary field having significant level of mechanical, electrical, electronic and instrumentations components in addition to process equipment. The Diploma of Associate Engineer (DAE) course has been designed accordingly to train the students in all these fields including the basic subjects such as English and Chemistry and more specialized subject of chemical engineering. Well-equipped and relevant laboratories have also been established in the Department for the practical training of the students. In addition, industrial tours to chemical and biochemical industries are organized for the students in order to expose them to real plants working.
