Press Release Anti-Corruption Awareness Activities 2024 Held at BBSUTSD Khairpur Mirs, 30th October 2024 — In a vibrant display of commitment to promoting integrity and transparency, Benazir Bhutto Shaheed University of Technology & Skill Development (BBSUTSD), Khairpur Mirs, hosted the Anti-Corruption Awareness Activities 2024 in collaboration with the National Accountability Bureau (NAB). Organized by the Student Welfare Office, the event aimed to raise awareness about the importance of accountability and the fight against corruption among the youth. The ceremony was graced by Mr. Fayaz Ahmed Qureshi, Director General of NAB Sukkur, who attended as the Chief Guest. He was accompanied by Mr. Imran Ali Mangrio, Director of Awareness & Prevention at NAB Sukkur. The esteemed Vice Chancellor of BBSUTSD presided over the occasion, underscoring the university's commitment to fostering ethical values within its academic community. In his address, Mr. Fayaz Ahmed Qureshi highlighted the pivotal role that educational institutions play in fostering a corruption-free society. “Empowering young minds with the values of integrity and accountability is a key step toward creating a transparent future for Pakistan,” he remarked, encouraging students to lead by example in their respective fields. The event featured an essay writing contest and a declamation contest, each focused on the theme of anti-corruption. Students showcased their understanding and commitment through engaging speeches and thoughtful essays. Winners received certificates and prizes, with top participants being nominated for the NAB Grand Level Competition scheduled for November 2024. The Vice Chancellor, in his concluding remarks, applauded NAB's efforts and emphasized the university’s dedication to promoting moral values among students. He reiterated the institution’s resolve to support initiatives that inspire students to actively combat corruption. The event concluded with a vote of thanks from Engr. Abdul Shakoor Shaikh - Student Welfare Officer, who expressed his gratitude to the Chief Guest, the Vice Chancellor, and all attendees. He also extended heartfelt appreciation to his dedicated team members, Mr. Sajid Khan, Mr. Umair Ahmed Farooq, Mr. Mir Musrat, and the student volunteers, for their hard work in making the event a success.
