The Benazir Bhutto Shaheed University of Technology & Skill Development, Khairpur Mirs organized the First International Multidisciplinary Conference on Emerging Trends in Engineering Technology (IMCEET-2023). The Former Chief Minister, Syed Qaim Ali Shah inaugurated the event whereby distinguished researchers and scientists from the Pakistan and world participated. The scholars from Pakistan and different countries including the US, China, Turkey, and Malaysia presented over 106 research papers. On May 09, 2023, in collaboration with Sindh Higher Education Commission (Sindh HEC) and MUET SZAB Campus, Khairpur Mirs, BBSUTSD held a three-day Multidisciplinary International Conference on Emerging Trends in Engineering Technology (IMCEET-2023) at the MUET SZAB Campus Khairpur Mirs. The event was inaugurated by the Guest of Honour Syed Qaim Ali Shah, Former CM, of Sindh. Among distinguished guests, the conference was attended by Mr. Imtiaz Hussain Gillani, Chairman National Technology Council (NTC). Prof. Dr. Tauha Hussain Ali Vice Chancellor MUET Jamshoro, Prof. Dr. Abdul Sami Qureshi Pro-Vice Chancellor, MUET SZAB Campus, Khairpur Mirs, Prof. Dr. Fatihah Suja, UKM Malaysia, Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto, Vice Chancellor (SALU), Khairpur, Prof. Dr. Tehmina Mangan Vice Chancellor, BNB Sukkur, Syed Asad Ali Shah Jillani, Engr. Prof. Dr. Madad Ali Shah. Guest of Honor, Syed Qaim Ali Shah, (Former CM, Sindh) extended his felicitations, adding that it was a need of the time to organize such academic-cum-scholarly events. He further said that it was a moment of pride for us that such a conference of national and international significance has taken place in Khairpur. The Former CM emphasized that in the contemporary world, there is a dire need for research which is the key to innovations and technologies. “The world is rapidly heading towards technology, with innovations emerging day by day, we need to customize our academic research to vie with the technology-driven competitive world.” He also appreciated and congratulated Professor Dr Rasool Bux Mahar, the Vice Chancellor of BBSUTSD, Khairpur Mirs on having organized the international conference. While addressing the distinguished guests, scholars, and participants, the Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. Rasool Bux Mahar said that it was the first time that we have achieved this milestone to unite the researchers on this platform to present their scholarly work which would help our students and emerging researchers, paving the way for new dimensions in the field of research and technology. Professor Dr. Rasool Bux Mahar further said that as the world is fast heading towards science and technology, dedicating our expertise to research is the key to its foundation. The Vice-Chancellor also expressed his gratitude to the Sindh Higher Education Commission and MUET, SZAB- Campus Khairpur for their collaboration in organizing the First Multidisciplinary International Conference. He concluded his speech by extending well wishes to the scholars. While addressing the event, Mr Imtiaz Hussain Gillani, Chairman National Technology Council, said that the BBSUTSD is playing a commendable role to foster the research culture, and organizing this conference is the manifestation of it. He added that the scholars would present their research that would tremendously benefit academia and industry. The conference was attended by illustrious academicians and distinguished professors, delegates, and Researchers from Pakistan and different countries who presented over 106 papers, both physically and virtually, at the conference participated large numbers of scholars, teachers, and students. Dr Aftab Ahmed Soomro, the Chair of the IMCEET-23 thanked all the esteemed participants and sponsors who made the conference possible, adding that it was the teamwork of the university to manage and organize the event. In concluding remarks, Professor Dr Rasool Bux Mahar, the Vice Chancellor, BBSUTSD, Khairpur thanked all the distinguished scholars and guests for gracing the event with their participation and he presented the shields to them.
