The 4th Meeting of the Academic Council of The Benazir Bhutto Shaheed University of Technology and Skill Development (BBSUTSD), Khairpur Mirs held on May 31, 2024, at Vice Chancellor’s Secretariat, BBSUTSD Khairpur Mirs. The Meeting was presided over by Prof. Dr. Rasool Bux Mahar, Vice-Chancellor, BBSUTSD, Khairpur Mirs. The Chair Prof. Dr. Rasool Bux Mahar Vice Chancellor welcomed all Honourable members of the Academic Council and said that the university is committed to enhancing an environment of academic excellence and innovation. Dr. Mahar emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts among faculty, students, and administrative staff to enhance the quality of education and research. The Vice Chancellor highlighted recent achievements and ongoing projects, and encouraged council members to actively participate in shaping the future direction of the university. The agenda included critical discussions on academic policies, curriculum development, research initiatives, and strategic planning for the upcoming academic year. The Key agenda of the meeting was to confirm the minutes of the 3rd Meeting of the Academic Council, To consider and approve the one-year Postgraduate Diploma in Health, Safety & Environment, To apprise about the Establishment of Climate Change and Environmental Sustainability Center at BBSUTSD, Khairpur Mirs & other academic related matters were brought before the forum. The meeting briefly discussed considering and approving the fee structure for B.E Tech and BS Program Session 2024-25. The Academic Council also approved public and private sector colleges of Technologies / Institutes for Affiliation. All the honorable members of the Academic Council appreciated the efforts of University management for the start of affiliation of the Colleges & Institutes Affiliation Process. Dr. Afshan Rubab Additional Secretary of the Universities & Boards Department, Govt of Sindh, appreciated Vice Chancellor BBSUTSD's and his team's efforts to launch the climate change and sustainability center.
