Khairpur 10th August 2024: The 6th Meeting of Syndicate was held on 10-08-2024 at the Benazir Bhutto Shaheed University of Technology and Skill Development (BBSUTSD) , Khairpur Mirs. . The meeting was chaired by Professor Dr. Rasool Bux Mahar. He welcomed all the Members of Syndicates specially pay thanked to external members of the Syndicate who came to attend meeting from different cities and also Online meeting participants including Ms. Tanzela Ume Habiba, Member Provincial Assembly (MPA), Syed Asad Ali Shah Jillani, Mr. Muhammad Abbas Baloch, Secretary U&B Deptt ,Govt of Sindh, Mr. Munir Ahmed from HEC- Islamabad nominee and Mr. Noman Lakhani, Sindh -HEC nominee for Syndicate meeting. The university management presented Agenda items for discussion and further decision of the Syndicate. The some of the major items presented before the Syndicate including Recommendations of Finance and Planning Committee , Establishments of new Departments, Establishment of Climate Change and Environmental Sustainability Center and initiation of Commercial Units at BBSUTSD, Khairpur Mirs etc. After Comprehensive debate/ discussion on each agenda item, the Syndicate of the University approved and that assures the good governance of the University. Syed Asad Ali Shah Jillani appreciated the efforts of Vice Chancellor for his initiatives to start new degree programs and affiliation of Colleges, but he further emphasized that the University may ensure quality education of affiliated colleges ,for that , it has to develop strong monitoring mechanism. Ms. Tanzela Ume Habiba said that I am thankful to speaker Sindh Assembly who has nominated her as member Syndicate of the BBSUTSD, Khairpur Mirs. It is proud for her that she is member of Syndicate of 1st Technical University of Sindh. She also appreciated the Vice Chancellor's efforts for striving hard to promote quality technology education. She further said that technology and skill education is only weapon that alleviate poverty from the society and assured that she will provide possible support to resolve university issues at Govt level. She further said it is our University and it our responsibility to ensure quality education. The meeting was also attended by Prof. Dr. Manthar Ali Keerio, Dean, Prof. Dr. Aftab A Soomro, Eng. Ali Raza Chachar, Assistant Professor, Ms. Zareen Arslan, Deputy Controller, Syed Abul Qasim, Lecturer. and Mir Sajjad Hussain Talpur, Registrar of the University.
