Today, 2nd May 2024, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Section of BBSUTSD Khairpur successfully hosted a seminar titled "Unlocking Sustainable Futures" aimed at fostering discussions and raising awareness about the importance of SDGs among faculty members and students. The seminar, conducted under the esteemed leadership of the Honorable Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Rasool Bux Mahar, served as a platform for insightful discussions and knowledge sharing. Dr. Mahar, serving as a resource person, delivered a comprehensive lecture on SDGs, sharing his expertise and emphasizing the critical role academia plays in achieving these global objectives. Additionally, Focal Person for SDGs, Sayed Ali Mustafa Shah, shared his thoughts and insights on SDGs, highlighting the importance of collective action and commitment towards sustainable development. The seminar also featured contributions from Prof. Dr. Manthar Ali Keerio and Engr Abdul Shakoor Shaikh, who provided valuable perspectives on the implementation of SDGs in our community. During the seminar, Dr. Mahar emphasized the importance of student engagement in the SDGs agenda, encouraging students to take leadership roles in addressing specific SDGs. He proposed the formation of student-led groups, each focusing on a single SDG, to accelerate progress towards achieving these goals. The event witnessed active participation from both faculty members and students, reflecting the university's commitment to sustainability and global development. Discussions were vibrant, highlighting the collective determination to contribute to a more sustainable future.
