The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), a globally renowned professional organization dedicated to the advancement of engineering, technology, and innovation, has officially inaugurated its chapter at BBS-UTECH.
Prof. Dr. Rasool Bux Mahar, Vice Chancellor formally inaugurated on May 14, 2026. The establishment of the IEEE Chapter was a remarkable self-initiative by the students of the Departments of Electrical Engineering Technology and Electronics Engineering Technology. The students were mentored and guided by Dr. Ronak Ali, Dr. Muhammad Saleem, and Engr. Safdar Ali Abro.
During the formal inauguration ceremony, Prof. Dr. Manthar Ali Keerio, Dean, appreciated the efforts of the students and faculty members. He highlighted the importance of professional societies like IEEE in developing students’ professional and leadership skills, including teamwork, negotiation, task management, and meeting deadlines.
