Kashmir Solidarity Day

Benazir Bhutto Shaheed University of Technology & Skill Development (BBSUTSD), Khairpur Mirs, observed “Kashmir Black Day” on Monday, October 27, 2025, to express solidarity with the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). The event was organized by the Student Welfare Office in response to the directions of the Higher Education Commission (HEC). The observance began with a Kashmir Solidarity Walk at 8:30 a.m., led by the Vice Chancellor, faculty members, administrative staff, and students. The walk commenced from the Point Bus Parking and proceeded through the RACT Department, Civil Department, and Canteen, culminating at the Vice Chancellor Secretariat. Participants carried banners and placards bearing messages of unity, freedom, and support for the Kashmiri people. A one-minute silence was observed in remembrance of the Kashmiri martyrs, followed by the National Anthem, symbolizing Pakistan’s enduring commitment to the Kashmir cause. In his closing remarks, the Prof. Dr. Manthar Ali Keerio, Dean, Faculty of Engineering Technology & In-charge Vice Chancellor reaffirmed the University’s unwavering support for the right of self- determination of the people of Kashmir and urged the youth to stay aware of national and humanitarian issues. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Engr. Abdul Shakoor Shaikh, Student Welfare Officer, who appreciated the active participation of faculty, staff, and students in expressing solidarity with the Kashmiri brethren. The observance reflected the University’s continued commitment to national values and social awareness among students, marking the day with dignity and patriotic spirit. Engr.
