4th meeting of the Senate of Benazir Bhutto Shaheed University of Technology and Skill Development Khairpur Mirs chaired by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Rasool Bux Mahar, was held on Tuesday, 08.04.2025. Senate after detailed discussion, approved the actual expenditures for fiscal year 2023-24 and budget estimates for the fiscal year 2024-25, approved the Annual Report of the University for the year 2024, and took several strategic decisions on administrative and financial matters. The meeting was attended by physically and online by Ms. Tanzila Umi Habiba, Member Provincial Assembly of Sindh, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Aslam Uqaili, former Vice Chancellor Mehran University Jamshoro, Mr. Sohail Anwar Baloch Special Secretary Universities and Board Department, Syed Asad Ali Shah, Dr. Muhammad Saleh Shah, Mr. Munir Ahmed Mirjat, Director, Higher Education Commission, Islamabad, Mr. Nouman Abid Lakhani Chancellor ILMA University Karachi, Prof. Dr. Manthar Ali Keerio Dean, representatives of Sindh Technical & Vocational Training Authority, Sindh Board of Technical Education Karachi and senior faculty members and officers of the University. Mir Sajjad Hussain Talpur, Registrar of the University, briefed the members about the agenda and Mr. Kashif Raza Director Finance, presented the budget. Prof. Dr. Rasool Bux Mahar, Vice Chancellor presented Annual Report of the University for review by the Senate members, which included introduction of new degree programs, organizing international conferences, capacity building trainings and compliance of regulatory policies for ensuring quality of education & research. Senate members appreciated the progress made and expressed confidence on capabilities of the University management and faculty for future endeavors.
