๐ ๐ฎ๐ต๐ฎ๐ฟ, Vice Chancellor of Benazir Bhutto Shaheed University of Technology and Skill Development (BBS-UTECH), Khairpur, achieved a historic milestone for Sindh by leading the province's representation at the inaugural session of the P-8 Consortium for Emerging Engineering & Technology Universities. This landmark gathering, hosted at NUTECH, Islamabad, was facilitated by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) through its National Academy of Higher Education (NAHE).
It is a matter of great honor and pride that BBS-UTECH stands as the sole technology university from Sindh to be a part of this prestigious national consortium, underscoring its pivotal role in shaping the future of engineering and technology education in the region. During the proceedings, as a gesture of cultural pride and goodwill, the Vice Chancellor presented a commemorative shield to Lt. Gen. Moazzam Ejaz, Rector NUTECH. He also presented the traditional Sindhi Ajrakโas a sovereign symbol of cultural heritage and respectโto Lt. Gen. Moazzam Ejaz, to Dr. Noor Amna Malik, MD NAHE-HEC, and to other esteemed dignitaries present on the occasion.
The Consortium was formally constituted by the HEC Chairperson following the 46th Commission meeting, with a Steering Committee led by the Rector NUTECH. During the session, Dr. Rasool Bux Mahar joined other esteemed Rectors and Vice Chancellors to endorse the Consortium's shared 2026โ2030 strategic roadmap. This collaborative framework aims to elevate institutional excellence through joint research, faculty exchange, international partnerships, quality assurance, innovation commercialization, and robust performance monitoring. Lt. Gen. Moazzam Ejaz emphasized sustained collaboration in research and industry engagement, while Dr. Noor Amna Malik hailed the Consortium as a milestone for accelerating institutional development through knowledge sharing.
This participation reinforces HEC's commitment to enhancing the global competitiveness of Pakistan's higher education sector and places BBS-UTECH at the forefront of national academic and technological advancement.
